Beschreibung:
This Hopf violin was made in Saxony around 1880. The Hopf branding, with a sun next to it on the right and left, is located below the base plate. The one-piece back is made from lightly flamed local maple. The frames and the scroll are also made of this maple. The instrument is in the best condition, it is free of cracks. A special feature of this violin is the snail, which is reminiscent of the Italian master Guaneri del Gesu, who partly carved this snail shape. the f-holes also easily remind of this great Cremonese master.
An evenly flat arch on the top and back ensures a full, carrying tone. The Schell lacquer with the beautiful shading was cleaned and polished. Thoroughly checked and set up ready to play with a new bridge and new strings, the beautiful antique instrument is offered here at UEBEL - since 1725. You can order it in the online shop as well as purchase it in the shop in Celle. In the UEBEL-since 1725 shop, you are welcome to test the sound of this Saxon instrument extensively with an audition.
