The fine, antique master violin bears the brand stamp on the inside: Seidel
It is an authentic instrument of the master Chr. Wilh. Seidel .
The choice of wood is very typical of Christian Wilhelm Seidel (18??-1900). The one-piece, flamed back, the long-lasting spruce top with a flat arch and the fivefold veins clearly show his signature.
The violin is in good condition. The paint shows signs of use.
The beautiful Markneukirchen violin was thoroughly inspected in the workshop of UEBEL - since 1725 and set up ready to play.
The approximately 180-year-old instrument has matured tonally, has an easy response and a tragic sound.
A recommended violin for the discerning chamber musician.
